Learn more and donate today by clicking the button below and you will be redirected to our secure donation site hosted by KU Endowment, where you will be asked to validate the information. A list of options will appear on the site. Please designate your gift to one (or more) of the following funds:

Warner Ferguson University Service Scholarship Endowment (01486)

In the wake of the 1970 Kansas Union Ballroom fire, a fund was established to recognize student service to the unions and the university. Warner Ferguson was instrumental in the establishment of the fund due to his efforts in cost documentation for the insurer. The summary was so accurate, the underwriter felt compelled to donate funds in appreciation of the honest accounting. Interest earning from the fund is awarded to a student member of Student Union Activities who through a nomination and panel selection has been selected as demonstrating outstanding leadership and will be returning to SUA as an active member.

Katherine C. Giele Scholarship Award (03316)

Named for the manager of Student Union Activities from 1968-1989, the Katherin C. Giele Scholarship is awarded annually. Interest earnings from the fund are granted to a student member of Student Union Activities who through application and panel selection has been selected as demonstrating outstanding leadership and is serving as an active member of SUA. At the discretion of the selection committee, the award may be given to one or more students based on the funds available and the number of applicants.

SUA Academic Support Scholarship Endowment (03421)

This scholarship was created in 1993 in order to assist SUA board members' education-related expenses thereby encouraging greater involvement in SUA. The scholarship will serve as a tool to retain student leaders and maintain Board accountability. This scholarship program supports the SUA goals of fostering student involvement, cohesiveness, teamwork, and supportive advisor-student relationship.

Frank R. Burge Scholarship Award (02831)

Named for the Director of the Kansas Union for 30 years, the Frank R. Burge Scholarship is awarded annually. Interest earnings from the fund are awarded to a student member of Student Union Activities who through a nomination and panel selection has been selected as demonstrating outstanding leadership and will be returning to SUA as an active member. At the discretion of the selection committee, the award may be given to one or more students based on the funds available and the number of applicants.
